John Muehlhausen
Chief Technology Officer
John Muehlhausen joined Essex Radez in 2000 and is
responsible for software design and implementation
strategies for the company's "V"- series products.
Previously, he designed and implemented the company’s
FIX based electronic order routing and market-making
system and created the back-office databases, user
interfaces and reporting systems for its stock-clearing,
trade-reporting and accounting functions.
Prior to joining Essex Radez, John was employed as a
consultant by a Chicago-based options clearing firm from
1996 through 1999. During this time, he also provided
technical consulting services to a futures trading firm
in Chicago and a mutual fund in Milwaukee, and wrote a
database integration tool for Microsoft Excel that is
being used at several financial firms today.
As a consultant to the options clearing firm, John led
the efforts to integrate mainframe clearing with UNIX
support processes, developed the firm's customer website
for report access, and developed a broker payout system,
among other undertakings.
He received his bachelor's in Computer and Electrical
Engineering from Purdue University in 1995. His
concurrent work for the C-SPAN video archives at Purdue
included creation of a program to automatically identify
differences between the written and spoken congressional
record using closed-captioning text from C-SPAN
broadcasts.
